URGENT HELP NEEDED AT SOPHIE’S SANTCUARY FOR RESCUED ANIMALS!

Tragically, newborn puppy dogs were just thrown into a dumpster bin, and if I didn’t rescue them immediately, the Albanian authorities would scoop them up, drive them out of the city to a field or forest, where they would be intentionally left to die! (I know this sounds too horrible to believe, but it really is a thing here, happening with stray animals and baby animals)

Hi, I’m Sophie, an animal whisperer from Australia, who’s just moved to Albania. I’ve spent my life connecting with creatures great and small, so it’s been heart-breaking for me to see the suffering and mistreatment of animals here, and the different mentality/attitude many Albanians have towards animals and their welfare.

So even though I’m currently job-hunting… I’ve taken immediate action! This has had a catalytic effect and somehow, I’ve ended up creating Sophie’s Sanctuary (an unofficial animal rescue haven), which is why I’m reaching out to anyone for help!

By checking out my photos and videos, you will see these rescued animals, and despite their differences (guinea pigs/kitten/puppy dogs) they are all loving towards one another but are still quite a handful for me to maintain.

My main concern right now is to keep the newborn puppies alive! I'm fostering them during this crucial stage of their lives because these pups need TLC including frequent bottle feeding and help to relieve themselves, even throughout the night.  Once they open their eyes… they will be more able to fend for themselves, so if you or anyone you know can adopt, please let me know ASAP!  

I understand if adopting a puppy dog isn’t possible for you, which is why I’m pleading for donations to help with pet food, care, vet costs, vaccinations, neutering etc. for all these rescued animals. If transferring money isn’t your style and you would prefer to make physical donations, pet supplies such as puppy milk, pet food, training mats and other pet products are also welcome!  I’m living in Vlore and would be happy to meet personally, or even to share my postal address. 

I’ve created this recurring fundraiser for Sophie’s Sanctuary because of the ongoing costs involved in taking care of all these animals + knowing my heart and my need to help any animal in need that may cross my path! So please help in any way that you can, and please share this everywhere because any help will be greatly appreciated.
