Description
Nowadays, fewer and fewer young people have the opportunity to create something with their own hands.
Many grow up without ever having held a proper tool in their hands, without ever having tried to drill a hole in a board, without ever having used a sewing machine, without ever having built a simple object from start to finish.
Yet the experience of creating something is special.
When something isn’t just bought, but made with your own hands — it leaves a lasting impression.
That is why I would like to set up a community workshop where today’s young people and anyone else interested can learn about both traditional and modern techniques in a safe, inspiring environment.
The aim is not to create a traditional classroom.
Rather, it is an open creative space where:
- you can try out different tools,
- you can learn the basics,
- and experience the true joy of creation.
Plans include, for example:
- basic woodworking and DIY sessions,
- safe use of hand tools and machinery,
- creating small DIY projects,
- simple electronics and LED projects,
- the basics of hand and machine sewing,
- an introduction to 3D printing and modern maker technologies,
- painting and surface treatment techniques.
The aim is for participants not just to be spectators, but to create objects and projects with their own hands.
I will use the funding received entirely for the further development of the workshop and the purchase of equipment needed for the sessions.
These include, amongst other things:
- tools,
- machines,
- 3D printing equipment,
- workbenches,
- protective equipment,
- raw materials,
- as well as the safe and functional design of the workshop.
The aim is to create a long-term, continuously evolving community creative space where real workshops and community events can take place on a monthly basis.
I have been involved in the creation and design of costumes, props, sets and various creative projects for over 11 years.
I have worked on private commissions, interior design and decoration projects, as well as in film productions as a prop and set designer.
Throughout my career, I have always believed that creativity is not just a profession or a hobby — but an experience that builds self-confidence, creativity and genuine practical knowledge.
Now I would like to pass some of this on to others.
Because in a world where we get almost everything ready-made, there is increasing value in being able to create something with your own hands.
An object you have made yourself:
- is not just an object,
- but an experience,
- knowledge,
- experience,
- and something you can be proud of later on.
If you believe it is important for the next generation not just to consume but also to create, and you would like to help establish a community creative workshop, I am very grateful for all your support and for sharing this.
