Description
Asya. A very brave cat who was rescued from the rubble in Kharkiv. She lost her kittens. She underwent surgery and was taken to Europe along with a dozen other animals. You, who were trying to help the animals in any way you could, took them in. That’s how Asya (full name Ariadna) came to us in Spain. We already had three cats, also from Ukraine and also with difficult pasts. Asya was the fourth. She arrived extremely ill. It later turned out that when she was rescued, she had contracted the feline immunodeficiency virus. But for now, she is only a carrier. Asya has a very serious problem. She suffers from gingivostomatitis. Furthermore, the roots of her teeth are completely rotting away. They need to be removed urgently. Because she is in a lot of pain, and we cannot give her painkillers constantly; it is very harmful. All our cats have illnesses (arthritis, kidney stones and so on). Every month we buy medication and special food for each of them. We are ill ourselves, and we live on a very tight budget. But whilst we can do without treats and other luxuries, we cannot deny our animals what they need.
The operation will cost €450 (all her teeth will be removed at once), and €17 is the cost of the antibiotics. Another €21 is for medication to support her body. We are very grateful to anyone who can help! We really hope that Asya will be able to celebrate New Year’s Eve free from pain!
