Karmen is a cheerful and playful 7.5-year-old child with many diagnoses. The main diagnosis is spina bifida, and the following are: hydrocephalus (a lump in the head), neurogenic bladder (which requires catheterization), and equinovarus feet (she gets orthotics in Zagreb every 6 months).

Due to his main diagnosis of spina bifida, he has no sensation in his feet, but moves exclusively with the help of orthoses and a wheelchair.

The family lives on the first floor of the family home. The father works, and the mother has the status of a caregiver. As the child grows, so does her weight, and the mother has to carry her up the stairs every time they leave or enter the house. Therefore, it is necessary to raise funds to build an elevator, to make it easier for both the mother and Karmen.

Karmen, making an elevator would also allow a certain independence and freedom of movement.
