Help Emil walk again - UNITE FOR EMIL

At the age of 35, Emil was involved in a tragic road accident that completely changed his life. As a result of the impact, Emil suffered multiple serious injuries, the most important of which are:

- T4 thoracic spine fracture resulting in spinal cord injury.

-Thoracic polytrauma and upper thoracic vertebro-medullary trauma.

-T3-T4 fracture-dislocation and paraplegia FRANKEL - A.

-Comminuted fracture of the left clavicle and right acromioclavicular disjunction.

-Fractures of the costal arches 1-7 on the right side and 1-5 on the left side.

-Bilateral pulmonary contusions and grade 3 spleen rupture.

-Pneumoperitoneum and presacral decubitus injury grade 3.

These serious injuries have had major medical consequences and the necessary treatments are complex and extremely expensive.

Emil's battle to recover

Between 31 June and 26 August, Emil was admitted to the Floreasca Emergency Hospital in Bucharest in the intensive care unit. Later, he was transferred to St Pantelimon County Hospital in Focsani for the treatment of decubitus ulcers.

Emil now urgently needs intensive rehabilitation at the Hospital for Neuro-Motor Recovery and Hyperbaric Medicine in Târgu Mureș, where he can receive the treatment on which his future depends.

The costs of this treatment are very high, amounting to 1500 lei/day, far beyond his family's means.
