Hello, I know this is not as tragic as other stories about illnesses and natural desasters but for me it is a tragic period in my life and I hope someone out there will read this and feel like they can help me - every little bit is appreciated! I always had dreams and plans and I was well known for making my dreams come true, was quite succesful in my job and was about to move to a new country and hopefully buy a house. Then I met my ex, it all started wonderfully, like a fairy tale and he said - why don't you live with me, it makes sense? It did make sense as at that time I was between flats and searching for a place to buy ... I told him about my dreams, my taste, the furniture I want, the colours on the walls, the bathroom I had always dreamed of, etc. He said we could change things - so that's what we did. We renovated his house, changed the furniture and decoration, made compromises... it all sounded too good to be true ... and it was! This man is abusive and I needed to get out. Unfortunately now I put so much money into his house that I can't afford my own place. I also gave up a lot of work in the years with him and now here I am left with a rent higher than my income ...Of course I will continue to work hard to get back the life I had before my relationship with him but I lost so much - money, work, dreams, plans, hobbies - if you can help me, at least financially, I will be very grateful.
