Description
Mr Stavros is a 78 year old grandfather who lives all his life in Heraklion, Attica. He had the misfortune to have his little house catch fire and all his belongings burned. He was saved because at the time of the explosion he had gone out into the yard to feed his kittens. When his house burned down the municipal authorities sent the police, arrested him and took him to a mental hospital where he stayed for 11 days but the doctors discharged him because the man does not need psychiatric help but social help! Since then
he and his kittens have been surviving in the outdoor toilet of the yard, a mess with no door to let water in, no food, water and electricity. His entire income is 50€ a month that he gets from welfare. Any help, big or small, is valuable to live the time he has left humanely and with basic dignity.
