At its Council Chamber meeting on 17 January the Lazio Regional Administrative Court compelled the Defence Administration to submit a report taking into account the regulatory developments concerning the Marshals of the EI and thus constituting a response to the application/formal notice submitted on 1 December 2022, on which the Defence Administration had not yet expressed a view, postponing the hearing of the appeal until 28 February. 

On this occasion, the Defence Administration filed the report requested by the Court, stating that the legal and economic measures requested by the Marshals require legislative action and that matters concerning personnel deployment and staffing levels fall within the remit of the respective Armed Forces. 

The Administrative Court confirmed that the appellants’ interests cannot be satisfied through administrative measures by the Ministry, legislative reforms or, in any case, measures falling within the remit of a different institutional authority. 

The sum will be allocated to pursuing the shared objectives through voluntary mutual assistance regarding the issues raised by the Marshals: New Procedure.
