Support the solo exhibition by Hungarian photographer and visual artist Sabrina Komár!

WHY?
Sabrina Komár was the only Hungarian photographer to reach the shortlist of the prestigious annual LensCulture Art Photography Awards in 2024 with her series exploring the nature of good and bad memories.
This year, Sabrina has been given the opportunity to showcase her photographic work, which has been recognised as outstanding on the international stage: in October, an audience with an appreciation for contemporary photography will be able to view her images from the series “…but so many good things have happened to you!” at a gallery in Budapest.

The series reflects on the nature of childhood and adult memories, and seeks to answer why we remember the good memories less than the bad ones. The unique, spatial photographs simultaneously reveal the impressions provided by the objective past and subjective memory.
Despite international recognition, the exhibition has received no domestic funding, even though the plans have been ready for months and the unique, costly frames are awaiting production so that the series can be unveiled.

HOW?
Support the realisation of Sabrina Komár’s solo exhibition; she is very grateful for any amount of support, and if you:
--> you contribute at least 15,000 HUF (39 EUR), you will receive a limited-edition, A4-sized print on Hahnemühle archival paper, individually signed and numbered (you can choose from 3 different designs)
If you would like to support the artist by purchasing a work of art, you can also choose from their existing, unique pieces (photographs and tapestries/rugs); to do so, please contact the artist directly.
One piece from Hypnopompia’s kilim rug collection, for example, was exhibited in Berlin this year as part of Berlin Design Week, and the same rug is currently on display at the Ludwig Museum in Budapest.
