E. is a hard worker. He is a carpenter blacksmith, and in order to earn some extra money for his family (he has a wife and four children, the last one sixteen months old) he has also specialised in other tasks, assembling furniture, doing work with the drill and the welding machine, and carrying out various kinds of home repairs. I have met him personally and have asked for his help on several occasions. An affable, polite, clean, competent and helpful person.

A few days ago, E. was deprived of all his professional equipment, it was stolen from his car parked in Catania in broad daylight, smashing the window. A damage of around 5,000 euro, and above all a huge blow to his business. E. had to stop and warn his customers that he would not be able to honour his commitments.

I would like to help him and I ask for your help: I am well aware that there are thousands of difficult situations, of destitute and needy families: if you already do it for others, all the more reason to do something for E. too.

This is not charity. His pride would not accept it and in fact he himself would like to reciprocate by doing work for donors for sums equivalent to those donated, but I think he would never get up again.

He just needs a one-off help so that he can start working again as he used to, twelve or more hours a day, around half of Sicily.

If there are many of us, it won't be difficult.
