We are creating a Film Chronicle of Local Identity, preserving the memories of local people and documenting the history of our region. A series of documentaries based on oral history and archival material, memorabilia, and private photos.
"Tell me... Stories from Barcin"-is a historical project aimed at video documenting the memories of Barcin residents who have been connected to the borough since birth and have lived, worked and been socially involved here all their lives.
It is a unique opportunity to hear their stories - about everyday life years ago, about the changes they saw with their own eyes, about the values they passed on to the next generation. Each of these stories is a living part of the borough's history that cannot be found in textbooks. Thanks to "Tell me..." these memories will not be lost, but will become a lasting testimony to our local identity.
Memory is more than just memories - it is the foundation on which we build the future. When we know the past, we better understand who we are. When we appreciate the hardships of the lives of those who went before us, we are more able to respect what we ourselves have today. This project is more than just a series of films - it is an attempt to stop time, to record human fate and to leave something lasting for future generations.
The first episode of "Tell me..."
Producing the series involves high living costs, which I cover privately. I am constantly looking for sponsors and media patrons for future episodes. This fundraiser has been set up to simplify the opportunity to support the development of this initiative. The funds raised will cover the ongoing expenses of the production:
This is how a fragment of the memory of regional culture and art is created, and by supporting this initiative with a bold gesture, you are contributing to the preservation of local history and tradition, the promotion of the region, and the building of a local community identity.
The vision of the project is to have 11 seasons, each season dedicated to one commune. Each person in the municipality is a separate story and each story is a brick in the construction of our identity. The number of episodes of "Tell me..." is undefined (assumption 1 episode per month, 5-10 episodes per season). Filming of the first season of the 'Stories from Barcin' series continues until November 2025, with the end of the season in December 2025. The next series starts in February 2026 - proposed programme for the following years (order depends on viewer interest):
The shooting time for each series runs from March to November. The completion of the entire "Tell me..." project is planned for the end of 2036. is planned for the end of 2036. This collection is organised to cover the needs of the production of the first season of "Tell me... - Stories from Barcin'.
