Sabina-Teodora Dutcovici is a young chess player from Romania who, at just 10 years old, has already made a name for herself on the national youth chess scene and is proving that a brilliant mind, backed by hard work, discipline and courage, can turn a dream into reality.

She amazes us every day with the way she thinks through every move, with the concentration and maturity she displays at the chessboard, and with her constant desire to improve. She is a true fighter – ambitious, persevering and courageous – and these qualities have helped her achieve remarkable results for her age.

Behind every medal lie hundreds of hours of study, training, competitions and sacrifices. Whilst other children spend their free time playing, Sabina analyses her games, studies strategies and prepares for the next challenge.

At just 10 years old, she has already collected over 100 trophies, building an impressive track record and proudly representing Romania in European and world competitions.

The path to excellence is extraordinarily rewarding, but also costly.

Taking part in international competitions involves significant costs for travel, accommodation, entry fees, preparation and ongoing training. At this age, the presence of a chaperone is also necessary.
