Dear Supporters, Friends and Kind-hearted People!

I am writing to you because I have found myself – along with many others in a similar situation – in an unjust situation that no one is prepared for: in the blink of an eye, we have become victims of financial fraud.

My personal involvement:

I myself am a direct victim. 10 million forints were unlawfully withdrawn from my account. This sum is not just a number on a screen; it represented years of hard work, security and the foundation of my future.

Although I have taken every legal step within my power, filed a police report and am in constant contact with the authorities, the process is frustratingly slow. We feel that the system does not protect us adequately, and whilst we wait in the labyrinth of bureaucracy, our daily livelihoods are at risk.

I am not alone:

I am in touch with a small community of people who have been through the same thing. Some of them have had 3, 5 or even 10 million forints stolen, but there are also those for whom a loss of ‘just’ 100,000 forints has put their entire monthly survival in doubt.

Why am I fundraising?

My aim in raising these funds is twofold:

1. Direct assistance: I would like to provide a safety net for those victims who have been left in a desperate situation due to the fraud (paying bills, meeting basic needs).

2. Legal and expert representation: We would use part of the funds raised to finance more effective, joint legal action and, with the help of experts, fight for our rights against the bank.
