Description
Hello!
My name is Natálie, I am 33 years old and have been partially paralysed since 2022. I have a thoracic spinal cord injury and paraparesis of the lower limbs. This brings with it a lot of problems, mainly with walking, but also with sitting and carrying out everyday activities. I also suffer from partial incontinence and shortness of breath during periods of increased exertion (for me, increased exertion includes washing up or brushing my teeth and other ordinary tasks). As my living situation wasn’t ideal (there were stairs in the house and in the surrounding area) and my health was steadily deteriorating, I moved in with a friend in April 2026, renting a ground-floor flat. I’ve been here for two months now, and I’m much better off here; I can even go for short walks on my own (up to 150 metres), as I’m not restricted by having to climb stairs.
However, we had some bad luck during the move (I was moving from eastern Silesia to central Bohemia). Just an hour into the journey, we had two flat tyres – the front tyre and the right rear tyre. Unfortunately, we only had one spare, so we had to call a breakdown service. B? Given the long distance, the breakdown service cost us 12,000 CZK.
I have to pay off that amount, and I’m still paying off the move itself as well. It’s very expensive for me, as I’m on a disability pension of 11,400 CZK.
So I’ve decided to set up this fundraiser in case anyone would like to contribute. I’d be very grateful for any donation.
You can find out more about me on my Instagram @tt_denicek, where I write about myself, my disability and my life.
Thank you all for your contributions. Natka
