Hello, my name is Mar. I live in a village in the Riosa district. I’m raising funds to rescue this little pig from the animal abuse it’s suffering.

For over a year now, it has been surviving locked up in a tiny room of just over 4m² in the dark, with only two small windows barely bigger than a fist. With practically no food or water, it has been left lying in its own faeces and urine.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve taken it upon myself to feed him out of my own pocket, and he’s managed to put on a bit of weight; he’s even been able to spend short periods outside, but the owner has locked him back up in that pigsty.

I spoke to the owner, and in two or three months he’ll kill him because the slaughter begins in winter, and with all he’s suffered and been mistreated, he doesn’t deserve that fate. The only option left to me is to raise funds so he’ll hand him over to me and I can look after him and give him all the care he needs.

Seprona came twice, but they aren’t going to take him away because apparently the pig was recovering from what I fed him during that time. So the situation is complicated, and if it weren’t for this sort of website, I don’t know what else I could do for him.

I know many people will think that if I manage to get him to hand him over to me, he’ll just buy others, but he’s a livestock farmer and, whether he hands him over or not, he’ll keep buying pigs and all sorts of animals.

But the aim is to save little Guillermo Tell; he doesn’t deserve that fate after everything he’s been through and is still going through.
