Hello everyone! A few weeks ago, I found a neighborhood cat (which I named Mandarin) in very poor condition. I plan to adopt him when I leave for college in October, but for now, he’s staying in a foster because I currently can’t take him.

During his 10-day quarantine, Mandarin was neutered, had paw surgery (he

had damaged skin), and had two teeth removed. Sadly, he tested positive for FIV and was just diagnosed with acute kidney failure. Thankfully, we caught it early, and it might be treatable. He’s now on medication for two weeks, after which we’ll do more blood tests.

So far, I’ve got 600 RON in donations from a post of mine (around 118 EUR), and the total bill is 1603,5 RON (around 317 EUR). I still need about 1000 RON (around 197 EUR) to cover the veterinary bill, but there will be upcoming blood tests after the 2 weeks treatment so that will also cost.
