The Arrabona Dragon Boat Club has been one of Győr’s most enthusiastic amateur sports communities since 2007. With our thirty members, we take part in the Hungarian Dragon Boat Federation’s championships year in, year out, and from time to time we also represent our city and country at international competitions — most recently at the 2025 European Championships in Belgrade.

Our community is strong and our enthusiasm is unwavering — but unfortunately, our boat is not.

Our current dragon boat is now completely worn out: refurbishing it is no longer cost-effective, and it is becoming increasingly unsafe. Without a boat, however, there can be no training, no new recruits, and no sense of community. We simply cannot continue without it.

That is why we are launching a fundraising campaign so that we can buy a new boat and continue to build the community we have been shaping for nearly 20 years. The cost of a new boat: 3,800,000 HUF. This far exceeds our Association’s resources.
