Dear Kind and Helpful People!
My name is Nikolett; I am a 39-year-old married mother of three (two minors and one adult child). This house is our home, but the photos show its current, disastrous condition. We bought the house with a Rural CSOK grant, but due to the state of the renovation, we are now in huge trouble and racing against time.
We need a comprehensive, life-saving renovation so that our home can once again be safe, dry and fit for human habitation. Our two minor children live with us, and their lives, health and safety are at stake!
🚨 IMMEDIATE DANGER AND A TIGHT DEADLINEThe situation is critical: our ceiling is slowly collapsing due to leaks and a faulty floor structure, posing a life-threatening risk to our family.
No matter how hard and honestly my husband and I work, our income is barely enough to make ends meet, and we are unable to save up for such a major, life-saving renovation. What’s more, we must complete the renovation by July 2026 at the latest, otherwise we will lose the Rural CSOK grant!
The main problems currently threatening our children’s lives and health:
- ⚠️ Life-threatening Ceiling: Visible cracks in the ceiling, the poor condition of the beams and water ingress mean the ceiling is at risk of collapsing.
- Damp and Mould: The walls are damp, and the wallpaper and plaster are peeling off, posing a serious health risk and the danger of mould. Our children are constantly exposed to a damp, cold environment.
- Lack of Flooring: The floors are hazardous, patchy and cold.
We would spend every forint on restoring the building’s basic structural safety and meeting the July 2026 deadline!
- Saving the Roof Structure and Ceiling: Stopping the leaks, reinforcing the beams and repairing the ceiling, which is at risk of collapsing.
- Insulation and Wall Restoration: Eliminating damp, insulating the walls and re-plastering them.
- Cold and Warm Flooring: Repairing floors that pose a safety hazard.
