A pilgrimage across six countries
A pilgrimage across six countries

Description
Hello!
Some journeys are measured in kilometers, but others are measured in love, faith, and resilience.
First of all, thank you for visiting this campaign and taking time to read it. Some of you may know me already. Iam István, I was born in Hungary in '86.
Iam on a mission to raise 1600euro in just 30 days!
Due to some personal events and other reasons, I have decided to go on a pilgrimage from Budapest (Hungary) to Faro (Portugal), following the El Camino de Santiago route as much as possible along the way.
I have been carrying the first spark of the idea for long time, and I plan to share more about it during the journey.
If you have never heard of this pilgrimage before, let me introduce it to you a bit.
The El Camino de Santiago is a historic pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Pilgrims walk it for spiritual, personal, or cultural reasons. There are several routes, with the Camino Francés being the most popular. Nowadays, many routes across Europe lead to Santiago, as shown by the symbol of the pilgrimage, the scallop shell. Pilgrims face many challenges along the way before reaching their destination.
In 2015, I walked the Camino Francés route, approximately 800 km from SJPP to Santiago.
But I can’t do this alone now. I need your support!
This journey is about 4,000 km long and crosses six European countries. I will be traveling on foot from Budapest to Ljubljana, Venice, Genoa, Nice, Avignon, Barcelona, Logrono, Santiago de Compostela, Fisterra, Vigo, Porto, and finally Faro. The exact route is based on certain events. I will follow the yellow shell symbol for more than 80% of the way and using designated hiking trails.
I desire to walk the entire route for spiritual also for personal reasons and for the sake of all the mothers. More details later on.
The planned departure is May 1 to May 15, 2025.
I plan to keep the journey on a low budget and aim to write a book about the experiences. I also plan to create a social media blog during the journey sharing the actual happenings. I will reveal more interesting details about the circumstances of the decision, the signs leading to it, the road, and many other things.
This is an adventure full of mental and physical challenges, and with your donation, you can be a part of it.
Pilgrims often say, "Once you are on the way, the Camino will provide what you need". When you are surrounded by the Camino spirit, it feels as if it was not your decision, but the Camino is calling you.
Expecting anything ahead on the pilgrimage is difficult in my opinion, as you are always on the move, never knowing what tomorrow will bring. I just hope that my journey will be worth to share and that i can create a journal or a storybook in the end.
With your donations, I would be able to purchase the essential items, prepare and hit the road.
Every euro counts!
I believe in that this year, the Camino has led me here.
Every step I take carries meaning. Every kilometer is a tribute to love, to family, and to faith. Will you walk this path with me?
Donate today and become a part of this incredible journey. Your kindness will carry me forward.
Thank You
István Lucza
