I suffer from Crohn's disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that has made my life difficult for years. I also have severe hypochromic microcytic anaemia, which means that I have severe anaemia and thrombocytosis, i.e. an increased number of blood platelets (thrombocytes). This means that the body produces more platelets than are actually needed.

Unfortunately, medical care in Romania is not free. Every single infusion, every treatment in hospital has to be paid for out of pocket - something I couldn't afford for a long time.

Privately:

During a short stay in Vienna, I was only able to work for six months before I fell ill. Due to my health situation, I was unable to continue working or pay for my medical care.

My grandmother - who lovingly raised me - brought me back to Romania to look after me. But unfortunately, the disease was much more serious and dangerous than we both thought. As a result, my condition deteriorated dramatically. I lost a lot of weight and currently only weigh 25 kilograms.

It was only with the help of my friends that I was finally admitted to hospital two days ago. I am infinitely grateful for this - but I still urgently need medical support in order to survive and make a long-term recovery.
