Description
Dear fellow Hungarians!
In recent weeks, the final outstanding matter relating to the Hunnia case has been resolved: the fate of the 25 million forints in criminal costs imposed on the 10 defendants who were released on parole in 2023.
This is because the pardon did not include a waiver of these costs. We are required to pay the sums imposed by the court. A fundraising campaign was already underway in 2023; we would like to thank the donors at that time for their support, which we have set aside for this purpose, but we are still short of 11 million forints.
We defendants are ordinary people who do not have spare cash lying around in our bank accounts. It is a great burden for us to have to raise this sum on top of the already lengthy ordeal we have endured, so we ask that anyone who can, please help!
