Egon is a little boy of just 7 years old who has been fighting a battle since the very beginning of his life. He suffers from psychomotor retardation, severe speech delay, WPW syndrome (heart problems), hypotonia and strabismus. His first therapies began when he was just 9 months old, and since then every day of his life has been filled with hard work, exercises and a great deal of hope.

Egon attends therapy sessions regularly to take small steps towards a better, more normal life. We recently learnt that there is a real chance of improvement for his neurological problems. A special treatment that helps regenerate neurons and could offer Egon the chance of a life closer to that of other children.

The treatment takes place in Mexico, at a clinic in Monterrey, and is called Cytotronix. Unfortunately, the cost is enormous for our family: €55,000. This covers the treatment, travel and accommodation in Mexico.

For us, this sum is impossible to raise on our own, but for Egon it means hope, progress and perhaps even a normal life.
