This is the first time they’ve been selected to represent Portugal!
In October, Mariana and Duarte will be heading to the European Cup in Zurich to compete in the Artistic Pairs event in the Junior category. Our very own Duarte will also be representing Portugal in the Free Skating event.
At just 11 years old, the two of them train for many hours a day with the responsibility and dedication of an adult. With the joy of those who just want to have their skates on their feet, they do what they love and need your help to make a dream come true. Even at such a young age, they understand the significance of carrying our flag on their chests.
From us, their parents, they will always have our unconditional support as long as they are happy skating; we will do the impossible to encourage them, but that alone is not enough.
