Tumultus 'The palio of musicians and flags'. is an event conceived in 2024 by the cultural association and especially GRUPPO dei Tamburi di Montecerviero di Mormanno (Cosenza).

This event is absolutely unique in Italy, featuring the true artistic side of historical parades, which has often taken a back seat, but underneath hides rehearsals upon rehearsals, and a lot of work for excellent preparation for each performance.

The association has been officially present for a short time, about 2 years (with another 20 years of 'anonymity' because it is not present as an official association), and the desire of all the young people, all the members and all the relatives, has meant that the first event totally organised by the association has become a real success and a breath of fresh air,given the novelty of the event and above all the particular format, which sees various groups of musicians and flag wavers invited right into the historic centre of Mormanno to perform and test themselves with various enticing and entertaining challenges, followed by a final ranking and glorious prize-giving.

Unfortunately, the costs for such an event were very high and without the help of our pockets, some help from the municipality and a few sponsors, it would have been even harder. Above all, because the groups invited to participate, we would like to be able to compensate them adequately and host them in the best possible way, without them losing money... not to mention the costs of setting up the historical centre, which between the economic and the labour side are very impressive. It would be a dream to reach this figure, to reconfirm an event that is also declared unique by the public, and with time we hope to make it a regional and why not, NATIONAL event!
