The Quiet Promise Fund
The Quiet Promise Fund
Description
Quietly
There is a part of this project that has always stayed quiet. It began long before Tabu had a name, long before the first sketches of the platform, and long before I ever imagined building something at a European scale. It started with a commitment I made when I founded my organisation: don’t just raise awareness about harm — think up a real solution. Not a campaign, not a slogan, but an actual, functional alternative for how young people communicate, repair, and collaborate.
Commitment
That commitment has shaped every step since. It shaped the early foundation work. It shaped the TRUSTME project, where I was knocking on the EU portal door to think along with European partners about safer digital spaces. It shaped the multilingual EU invitation videos included here — not as decoration, but as part of the journey that led me to build Tabu. And it shapes the work I’m doing now: designing the parts of the platform that need the most care, the most silence, and the most precision.
Not everything at once
This fund — The Quiet Fund — is where all single donations are held. It supports the careful, behind‐the‐scenes work that cannot be rushed or simplified. Some modules want attention. This one doesn’t. It’s the safety layer that sits quietly in the background, the one that requires cryptographic thinking, legal review, and a design approach that protects young people without ever exposing them. It’s the continuation of the assignment I gave myself years ago, and it deserves to be built with the same seriousness that started it.
Serious money
The minimum target for this fund is €1M. That number isn’t symbolic. It reflects the reality of building infrastructure that can scale across Europe. EU‐level projects typically operate in the €3.2M range, and if Tabu is to grow into a platform that supports classrooms, youth workers, and communities across borders, the foundation must be strong enough to carry that weight. This fund is the first step toward that long‐term budget — the part that allows me to design the quiet modules properly, prepare for pilots, and build the systems that need to be right, not loud.
Schools first
Tabu begins in schools because that’s where communication habits form. The videos included here show the early introductions, the classroom‐friendly explanations, and the youth‐safe materials that help teachers and students understand the platform’s structure. They don’t explain everything — they’re not meant to. They’re part of the dissemination work that makes Tabu accessible without revealing the sensitive logic underneath. Schools are where the platform can be tested gently, where young people can learn to post with intention, reflect with clarity, and repair with structure.
Invites
The EU compilation videos sit alongside this work as a reminder of the path that brought me here. Before Tabu existed, I was already being asked to think about safer digital spaces at a European level. Those invitations didn’t define the project, but they did confirm that the questions I was asking mattered. They are part of the story, part of the continuity between the foundation’s early mission and the platform I’m building now.
Behind the scenes
Behind all of this is the work I rarely talk about — the slow, careful design of the safety layer that must stay quiet by design. It’s the module that carries the most weight, the one that cannot be rushed, and the one that needs to be built with more care than visibility. This fund supports that work. It supports the long‐term architecture, the school pilots, the EU‐scale preparation, and the commitment I made at the beginning: to think up a real solution, not just name the problem.
Roll Over
Since this project is quite complex and big; we will roll over the campaign in order to match EU funding cycles and align with our other efforts. 90 days is great for momentum; but applications take serious time even with the help of schools. So, don't be discouraged if you don't see immediate results. That is to be expected and the right way for the process to evolve. If you want to find us: PICs: Judato 871409492 en Makea 871426855.
Tabu is not a quick project. It’s a careful one. And this fund is the place where that careful work begins.
