My sister and I are facing an incredibly difficult time, and we need your help. Over the past four years, we’ve lost both of our parents to long-term illness, leaving us to navigate life on our own. My sister has intellectual disabilities and relies on my care. While we were doing okay for a while, the past year has been a struggle.

Recently, my sister was involved in a car accident. Thankfully, her injuries were not permanent, but her recovery has been challenging. During this time, I lost my job as I had to care for her full-time. She graduated from school this year, and with it came a lot of expenses that have only added to our burden.

While she is finally on the mend and I’ve just started a new job, we are now facing another major setback. My sister is about to lose the survivor’s pension she has been receiving since our parents passed away, simply because she finished school. Although she has a disability, it seems she no longer qualifies for this essential support. Losing this income will be devastating, and I don’t know how we’ll manage with only my small salary and I am also just starting.

Even if we are able to fight to regain her pension, the process will take time, and our expenses are piling up. We’re at a point where we will need help just to cover basic needs like food. Next month will be particularly hard without assistance, and I’m worried about how we’ll keep the fridge stocked and be able to feed our two cats as well.

My sister has such a kind and loving heart and never asks for anything. It breaks my heart to think I may not be able to provide even the basics for her. My biggest dream is to make her life better than mine. We’re in a desperate situation, and we’re asking for your support to get us through this tough period.
