Support for fire victims in Cyprus – together we can do more!

In recent days, Cyprus has been grappling with the devastating effects of the fires that have ravaged the regions of Limassol and Paphos. In villages such as Alassa, Vouni and Agia Marinouda, the fire has consumed homes, fields, orchards and entire farms. Hundreds of people have had to flee their homes in a hurry – some have lost everything.

As a community of people connected to Cyprus – whether we live here, holiday here, or simply love this island – we cannot remain indifferent.

That is why we are organising a fundraiser to help those affected by the fires.

We do not yet know how much we will be able to raise – but every zloty counts. The funds raised will be transferred directly to those affected, in the most transparent way possible.

Importantly, we will transfer all funds via the official channel designated by the Cypriot authorities.

In this matter, we will contact the Polish Embassy in Nicosia to ask them to recommend a foundation or institution which, on behalf of the Republic of Cyprus, coordinates aid for those affected by the fire.

Our aim is not only to provide tangible assistance, but also to ensure full transparency and accountability for every zloty donated.

We believe that in the face of tragedy, we can stand together above all divisions.

We hope that this fundraiser will be shared in all Cypriot groups for Poles – regardless of who runs them and what their rules are. After all, we are not helping for our own sake – but for those who truly need it right now.
