Hi everyone!

My name is Timót Magyary, and I’m a second-year saxophone student at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. Music has been my life for over 10 years, and I’ve known since I was a child that this is the career to which I want to devote my whole life.

For me, the saxophone is not just an instrument, but my primary means of expression and the foundation of my future.

Although I have achieved numerous professional successes in recent years, my daily life and my practice have been overshadowed by constant pain that has persisted for more than three years. The spasmodic pain in my jaw, the persistent headaches and neck problems have now reached such a level that practising for several hours a day – which would be essential for my development – has become virtually impossible.

The pain accompanies me not only on stage but also in everyday life. I have fought with all my strength up to now and will continue to do so; words of encouragement and my love of music keep my spirit alive, but I have reached a point where my physical condition is holding my talent back.

The diagnosis and the path to recovery are extremely complex and costly. I am currently awaiting a specialist neck MRI scan, which alone costs 180,000 forints, and this is only the first step. The entire process, from diagnosis through specialist treatments to long-term rehabilitation, will cost approximately 1,000,000 forints.

The aim of the fundraising:

• Diagnostics: Specialised MRI scans of the neck and temporomandibular joints.
• Treatment: Specialist consultations, specialised dental and joint treatments.
• Rehabilitation: Physiotherapy, manual therapy and targeted treatments so that I can play again without pain.
