As members of the Flautone Quartet, we are turning to you to help us make a long-held dream come true: we want to release our album, recorded in August, to celebrate the anniversary of our formation!

Over the past years we have delighted our audiences with numerous concerts - in small and large concert halls, in the countryside and in the capital, live and on the radio. Now we want to make these moments last forever.

The recording is now complete with the support of the National Cultural Fund, but we need your help to continue!

The Flautone Quartet's debut album is not just a recording, it is our artistic statement of faith, showcasing our instrumental diversity, our love and dedication to flute music.

We believe that the CD is not only for our pleasure, but also for the pleasure of our audience: it gives the opportunity to listen to our concert experiences and the music we interpret for anyone in the world at any time.

We would like to bring the outstanding pieces of Hungarian and international flute literature to the listeners, all this in a high quality sound and in a demanding edition.

Producing a CD is a major financial challenge for an independent chamber music group. Your support will enable us to:

- Fund the production and printing of physical CDs

- Produce a sophisticated cover and booklet for the album

- Cover the copyright, legal and technical costs associated with the recording

- Contributing artists and music directors will be duly remunerated

Community involvement is essential to cover the full production costs. We want all supporters to know that their contribution will help create a lasting, valuable work of art that will bring joy, inspiration and an unforgettable musical experience.

What do we spend the support we receive on?

The Flautone Quartet was formed in the fall of 2016 as a joint artistic initiative of four young flutists - Tímea Fábián, Orolya Kurunczi-Illésy, Zsófia Klimászné Varga and Dalma Ilyés. Their first concert took place on December 21, 2016, in Budapest, at the Bartók Music Hall in Rákoshegy, where they were welcomed by a full house and an enthusiastic audience.

The formation has been an active participant in the Hungarian chamber music scene ever since, and its current members are:

- Tímea Fábián,

- Dalma Ilyés,

- Zsófia Klimászné Varga,

- Zsófia Lázár.

All of them are committed chamber musicians who regularly perform as soloists and orchestra members both in Hungary and abroad. Its members are laureates of several domestic and international competitions, and are also active in other chamber music formations.

The quartet's first significant international success came in 2024, when they received a special prize in the chamber music category at the International Maurice Ravel Competition. This professional recognition is a clear reflection of the high-level, conscious artistic work that the ensemble has been striving for since the beginning.

The sound of the Flautone Quartet is characterized by a unified timbre, coordinated musical thinking, and a clear and demanding playing style. All this has been repeatedly confirmed not only by the audience, but also by renowned artists and music professionals during their concerts and radio recordings. These qualities are primarily the results of the members' common musical foundations and similar artistic approach, which were shaped by such excellent teachers as Gergely Ittzés, István Matuz, Benedek Csalog, Thies Roorda and Zsuzsanna Szűcs-Ittzés.

The quartet regularly performs on domestic and international concert stages, their repertoire ranges from classical pieces to contemporary works, paying special attention to valuable and rarely performed works of flute literature.
