Hello, my name is Serafin and I’m a (not-so-young-anymore) transgender guy. I’ve always had my share of problems in life; I never felt like I “belonged,” and in high school—after a few toxic relationships and the sudden, tragic death of my brother—things only got worse. I’ve been in psychiatric treatment for several years now and am trying to get back on track; adopting a dog has helped me a lot with that. In 2024, one of my biggest dreams came true—I got my first prescription for HRT (testosterone). I was incredibly happy. Unfortunately, due to moving back in with my parents and losing my job—which led to poorer physical and mental health plus a lack of funds—I had to give up on that dream, and I’ve been off hormones for several months now. This is affecting both my physical health (right now my body feels like it’s going through menopause) and my mental health (I’m starting to feel like I did before I started seeing a psychiatrist). If I want my body to recover, I absolutely must go back on hormones, which I unfortunately cannot afford (1 ampoule costs about 300 PLN ~ 71€), so if anyone would like to and is able to help me—I would be immensely grateful.
