I am an animal lover and I try to support animals in need of care, shelter, care, adoption. Together with other volunteers we try to build shelters, find families for the animals , take them to doctors for treatments, spay/neuter , provide them with food and love. Finally we try to defend their rights in courtrooms and bring those who abuse them to justice. All the above needs money which, some of it we put from our pockets but unfortunately it is not enough because according to the latest surveys the stray animals are more than 69% in Greece compared to 35% in Europe as a whole. With the state turning a deaf ear and not supporting with enforceable laws and with funds actions to protect strays and birth control, the burden falls on the backs of volunteers who bleed daily to deal with thousands of cases and are not enough.

We need your help so that we can cope with this situation. To protect the animals from the cold, heat, rain, hunger, disease, their killers and abusers and to organise information and awareness campaigns. And why not confront them and the state by forcing it to address the issue. Let us give these creatures the love and warmth they deserve.
