Description
I’ve been writing for over 25 years. I keep everything in drawers and on my phone. I want to share it with others. I’ve written over 1,000 poems, at least 200 of which are quite good. So I dream of publishing a book of poetry, written using the stream-of-consciousness technique and featuring my own hand-drawn illustrations. I’ve never really known why I do this; it’s simply one of the ways I meditate.
I can’t do this on my own. I want to do it professionally. Not just any old way.

Three of my poems:
1
A tiger warms itself in the shade of a sheep
Your back, your fingers, me
Time whispers ‘let’s make love’
And we both gaze through the open
The gap in the skylight
Where strange birds
Turn the night into a shattering
Sleeplessness
Don’t hear how that sand
Slips through your fingers
Non-existent hours
Bare slopes and hills
In the moonlight
Chalk draws a line
Darkness – sometimes the best motorway
Into everyone’s forgotten desert
Better to be barefoot
Tonight, those who know nothing of the laws of physics
Having swept up the shards
Let’s grow in the abyss
A starry sky
2
My limbs
Like stars
Until it hurts
I don’t remember
That they exist
When the
To run out of light
During the day
I remember at night
Your words
Like a nest for birds
They bring warmth
When they’re at home
And when they’re gone
My thoughts are like
A boat lying still in the mist
Rocking and lulling me to sleep
On the sea
We are like songs in the woods
The creaking of tree trunks
When you were small in my arms
You gaze into the abyss of the sky
We stand by the blossoming lime trees
We share the winter
Memories of summers gone by
We are close to nature
When we fade away, we become everything
You share in the crumbling
Shadows of the mountain
That mountain is me when I sit
Lost in thought
And neither a word nor a gesture
Can betray
Whether I am or am not in this house
We are birds in the attic
Of our dreams
3
Sheslept as only clouds sleep
Merging with the mist
Her hair in my beard
A time I cannot recall
I lie and touch
She is as soft as paper
A white sheet of paper to scribble stories on
My fingers
Glide through her hair
Across the undulating plains of dreams
Through narrow crevices
Through tiny igloos
She breathes the mist of a tiny world
Which she can almost never leave
I am but an interlude
Just the mountains beyond which
Her hands brush against
Our stories are told every night
Like some never-ending
Train that never stops
Moving through the twists and turns of our subconscious
She alone is there
Because of them, in all of them
Our time is lost
Closing our eyes
Like a creaking, heavy door
We open up
To their secret incantations
Which are intertwined like constellations
Like rumpled sheets
When we wake
We talk about it
What we won’t remember
