Hope, support and survival for little angel Alma in Gaza

Hello, dear friends and supporters, thank you for your continued support and care for Amjad and his family.
Amjad remains in Gaza, where he is caring for his elderly mother, his critically ill father, and his wife, who is six months pregnant. Despite these immense challenges, he continues to do everything he can to provide for his family. Recently, the stray cat he took in has also had four kittens, adding a small but meaningful responsibility to his already difficult circumstances.
With no source of income, Amjad’s options are extremely limited. Any support can make a real difference. If you are able, please consider making a small monthly donation or a one-off contribution—every amount truly helps. Your continued support is this family’s only means of survival. Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity.
If you would like more information about how the funds are transferred to Amjad and how they are used, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
With gratitude,
Jeanette

Description
Help beautiful Alma survive and walk again.
My name is Jeanette Gunnarsson, I live in Sweden, and I’m reaching out with deep urgency and compassion on behalf of a dear friend, Amjad, and his family in Gaza. Amjad and his wife Bara’a have a beautiful little girl named Alma. She is just 3 years old, and she cannot walk.
Alma was born with a condition that causes one of her feet to turn inward. Without treatment and a special orthopaedic sandal, her mobility and future are at risk. The cost for the sandal and care is €300, a small amount in many places, but in Gaza right now, it is impossibly out of reach.
Amjad, Bara’a, Alma, and Amjad’s elderly parents are currently living in the ruins of what was once their home. They have no shelter, and most days they have no food.
This is not just a plea for medical help. It is a plea for survival.
Amjad wrote to me with words I will never forget:
“Here in Gaza, we don’t truly live — we survive. It’s not the bombs that destroy us most — it’s the sound of our children crying from hunger.”
Every night, Alma cries not just from the pain in her foot, but from hunger. Her parents hold her close and whisper the lie every parent tells their child when there is nothing left: “It will be okay.”
But they need help to make that true.
We aim to raise a total of €5000. How will the funds be used?
€300 will be allocated toward Alma’s orthopaedic shoe and medical treatment.
The rest will help provide food, basic supplies, and ensure the family's survival.
Even the smallest donation can help Alma walk and enable this family to eat, sleep, and live with dignity.
Please consider donating, sharing, and standing with this family during their darkest days. Your kindness can change Alma’s life and bring hope where it is so desperately needed.
I will personally be sending the funds to Amjad and will update this fundraiser so you can be sure your money reaches little Alma.
With heartfelt thanks,
Jeanette Gunnarsson
