Remembering Allison Fidler: Join Us in Tribute
Description
Eighteen months ago, Ally received the diagnosis that turned our lives and our plans upside down: lung cancer, which had already metastasised and was inoperable. The subsequent treatments were initially successful and caused few side effects, so she was able to carry on working without any major restrictions and we were able to start ticking items off her bucket list. We were able to go on holidays to Iceland, Italy, Norway and the Netherlands, as well as city breaks to Paris and Hamburg. Business trips to see her team in Bengaluru were also possible.
By early May, the metastases had grown again and led to complications. After a short stay in hospital, she had been at home since the end of May, where I looked after her surrounded by her family. On 18 June, she passed away peacefully and without pain...
Caring for her at home would not have been possible without the support of the outpatient palliative care team at Agaplasion Elisabethenstift. Instead of flowers, I would like to invite you to make a donation to the palliative care team, so that this excellent support can continue for others on their final journey.
We are happy to support the care team who stepped in to help during Allison's last days. She was a valuable member of our bookgroup for at least the last 20 years, keeping a tally of all the books we had read, keeping us organized with the latest communication tools and suggesting interesting titles
Mein herzliches Beileid
Love and miss you, Sis.
Thank you to the palliative care team at Agaplasion Elisabethenstift for caring for Allison.
