We’ve all gone through difficult times in our lives, haven’t we? Not long ago, right here, I launched a crowdfunding campaign with the aim of lending a helping hand to the homeless. I’ve always been someone with a compassionate heart, connecting with those who have lost everything. Although I didn’t manage to raise the necessary funds and the project couldn’t go ahead, I suddenly find myself on the streets, for reasons I’m writing about in my book.

I started writing a book about my life, a story I never managed to finish. Now, from the streets, I have the chance to pick it up again, to write it by hand, because there is nothing more authentic than being transparent and recounting what is happening in the moment, the reasons that lead us to it, and the thoughts that cross our minds. My book will be a self-help guide, because we all make mistakes—I have made them—but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

We are here and now; the past no longer exists, the future has not yet arrived – we are the present. I know that understanding this can be difficult at times, but when you internalise it, your life is transformed. Between the pages of my story and the reason why I am writing it from the streets, there is an explanation I wish to share. I also wish to address in the book the importance of believing in oneself; after overcoming numerous obstacles, I now trust in myself and know that my book will be a success, offering help to thousands of people.

But it doesn’t end here; my aim goes beyond raising funds to publish the book and make a profit. What lies behind all this? What do I wish to invest those resources in? In helping those who need it most.

There is no feeling more beautiful and comforting than knowing you are sowing seeds of kindness. My aim is to raise funds, invest them, and raise more to bring to life an organisation that makes a difference. But perhaps I’m rambling a bit.
