Description
Greetings to everyone reading this.
The aim of this fundraiser is to cover the veterinary costs for my 9-year-old dog, Trufa. At the moment, I am unable to cover these costs as I am currently on sick leave due to a health issue. Trufa woke up on Wednesday the 7th with a large, painful lump under her right eye. We took her to the vet and it turns out she has a severe dental infection. We were able to pay for the consultation and the medication to treat the infection, but she needs an operation to remove the teeth that are causing the inflammation to worsen.
Below is a breakdown of the approximate costs provided by the vet (these are approximate as some costs cannot be predicted until the animal has been operated on...)
-Pre-surgical tests: €151
(Includes blood tests and ECG + costs of performing these tests)
-Anaesthesia tests + jaw X-ray: €250
-Extraction: €160 (depending on the number of teeth to be extracted)
-Dental cleaning (we do not yet have a quote as this depends on the vet’s assessment once the animal is under anaesthesia): ??
-Operating theatre anaesthetist (required to manage the anaesthesia administered and monitor the animal): €240
As you can see, the costs amount to a total of €801, not including the dental cleaning following the extraction of the diseased teeth... Trufa is currently being treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories to clear the infection before any surgery. I cannot afford these costs... So far, I have managed to save €100, but there is still a long way to go, and the operation must take place as soon as possible to prevent the infection from causing an abscess in her eye or even compromising her cardiovascular health. Trufa turns 9 in April and we want her to be able to celebrate.
Please, I implore all animal lovers to help in any way possible so that we can do something as soon as possible 😔. I promise to keep you updated on her progress so that every donor can see how her treatment is going.
Thank you very much for reading this far... Trufa also thanks you and gives you a little paw with love 🐶❤️
