Description
***UPDATE*** - 28 March
Dear Everyone!
It is difficult to put into words just how grateful we are for the incredible support Bence has received recently in connection with his stand. The fundraising campaign has far exceeded all expectations – this has clearly shown just how many people feel this cause is important.
Bence is still reeling from the events, but seeing the size of the sum, he has decided to donate a significant portion of the funds to charity. He will provide further details on this and the beneficiaries at a later date.
In light of all this, we are also adjusting the duration of the fundraiser – we will close it at midnight on Sunday.
Thank you once again for your support and for sharing so widely. I know that every kind message and good wish, as well as this level of solidarity, gives him immense strength – and we hope it does the same for many others too.

Hello everyone!
My brother, Bence Szabó, served his country for many years in the police force. He always carried out his duties in accordance with the law, conscientiously and with a strong sense of justice, striving to stand his ground in every situation whilst remaining true to his oath.
However, recent events have radically changed his life. Because of his stance, he was suspected of abuse of office, and his home was searched. The case is still ongoing.
“In an ideal system, I wouldn’t be sitting here. But here I am, so it seems this isn’t an ideal system. I find it unacceptable that not everyone is equal before the law. How is it possible that we suspect people who haven’t necessarily committed a crime, whilst failing to investigate those who have actually committed crimes – not just one, but several?”
This fundraising campaign was set up to help him through this vulnerable period and to assure him of our support.
The funds raised will be used to cover Bence’s legal fees and to compensate for the loss of income resulting from the termination of his employment. Furthermore, it is a significant burden for him that the employer loan he previously took out is now being demanded back in a single lump sum, so we would like to support him in this regard as well.
Why is your support important?
This case goes beyond a single person. It is about:
- Do we stand up against injustice,
- Do we support those who do so and face the consequences,
- Do we help those whom the system leaves to fend for themselves?
If we show that those who stand up for what is right are not left to fend for themselves, it can give strength to others in the future.
Every contribution counts, even the smallest.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this post helps a great deal too!
Thank you for standing up for justice with us.
