My name is Jacek. Eight years ago, I was in England, where I met Marek. We started working together, and after a while I asked him if he had a wife and children. That’s when he told me his whole story – that he had no one, and that he’d been homeless in England. I looked after him during that time, but after three years I was forced to leave England and move to the Netherlands. The day before I left, Marek came to me and asked if I would take him with me, because if I left he would be alone again. I took him with me; it was the end of September. and in December I took him to my family home for Christmas, and I’ve been doing this for seven years running.
