Dear Supporters, Friends and Readers!

We are writing to you on behalf of the Karitatíva Association – honestly and without embellishment – because we have found ourselves in a situation that we can no longer cope with on our own.

Our association was established in recent years and has worked tirelessly to provide assistance to those who need it most. We have regularly organised cultural events and fundraising drives, delivered non-perishable food, clothing and hygiene kits to those in need, and supported institutions, women facing hardship, and animal shelters. We believe that even the smallest act of help counts, and that as a community we are capable of bringing about real change.

However, the recent period has presented us with challenges for which we were unprepared.

Due to rising costs, a shortfall in funding and ever-increasing demands, the association’s financial situation has reached a critical point. As a result, debts have accumulated that we are currently unable to settle from our own resources. We are now at a stage where we face the threat of having to cease operations, and indeed of the association being dissolved.

This would not merely signify the end of an organisation.

It would also mean that:

– institutions would be left without support

– women in need would be deprived of hygiene products

– homeless people would not receive basic assistance

– community initiatives would cease

For us, this is not just a job. It is a vocation. It is a belief that we can make the world a little better.

But now we are the ones in need of help.

We ask you, if you can, to support the Karitatíva Association so that we can settle our debts, stabilise our operations, and continue the work that provides a lifeline for so many people in their daily lives.
