Description
Hello everyone!
My name is Dávid Székely, and I want to make getting children to school easier, quicker and more humane.
My aim is, with your help, to provide transport for six children to get to school in a safe vehicle.
The children are from the village of Tarnaszentmária in north-eastern Hungary; some walk and others cycle the 4 km to the school in the village of Verpelét, and of course make the return journey home at the end of the school day. This distance may not sound particularly long, but from October to March, with temperatures often dropping to -5, -8 or -10 °C, it unfortunately takes its toll on children aged 7 to 13.
The local council currently lacks the resources for such an investment, citing high unemployment in the region, and there are currently no calls for proposals for this form of state funding.
I would ask kind-hearted people who are willing to donate to help make something easier that shouldn’t involve such difficulties.
My role in this story began two years ago, but unfortunately I have not yet managed to raise the funds to purchase a safe minibus for at least nine people, as I myself sometimes struggle to provide for my own four children.
But if we could make this dream a reality, I would, of course, be happy to take on the task of transporting the children, as this whole project is my idea.
Thank you for taking the time to read this appeal, and I hope I have been able to convince you of the importance of donating!
Kind regards,
Dávid Székely
