It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to you, but my family has now reached a point where we cannot prepare for winter without help.

Allow me to introduce myself: my name is András Rab, and I live with my wife and two young children (aged 3 and 11) in Tiszainoka, a small village in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County. I was recently working in Budapest, but due to our circumstances we had to move back to the countryside. Unfortunately, our difficulties did not end there.

Our younger child suffers from severe respiratory problems (grade 8 croup) and a suspected milk allergy, whilst our older child needs emotional support as they have been subjected to bullying at school for a long time. Because of this, my wife is unable to take on work, and although I do work, a significant portion of my salary is deducted due to an old debt. As a result, we are living on barely 200,000 forints a month.

The house we live in is our own, but it has no heating system. While I was working in Budapest, we planned to install one, but in the end we were unable to do so. Now, however, it is essential that we have a way of keeping our home warm, especially for the sake of the children’s health.

That is why I am writing to you.

We need the following materials for the heating system:

• pipes,
• radiators,
• a combi boiler,
• as well as assistance with the gas permit.
• (The gas connection is already in place in the house, so the basic requirements are met.)

Any support – whether financial, in kind or in the form of professional advice – would be a huge help to us in getting through the winter safely and warmly.
