Description
I don’t know who to turn to for help. Fortunately, I’ve never had to ask anyone for help before, but my situation is quite desperate now. I’m a mum and I’m battling stage 4 ovarian cancer.I’m undergoing chemotherapy, and I’m due to have major surgery this June. I expect to need further treatment after the operation. I’m raising my 18-year-old son on my own, and he’s preparing for his A-levels. We have been living in rented accommodation, but due to my illness, increased costs and our uncertain situation, we now have to move. With the treatments, constant fatigue and pain, it is very difficult to take on work.
At the moment, I’m just trying to earn a little money doing odd cleaning jobs, but this isn’t enough to get us safely through this period.I have launched this fundraising campaign so that we have enough to cover our accommodation (deposit and rent for a new flat), utility bills and basic living expenses during the surgery and treatment, until I am able to work properly again.Every small donation is a huge help to us: it gives us the security of knowing we won’t end up on the streets, and my son can prepare for his A-levels with greater peace of mind. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing my fundraiser with others is a great help too.
Thank you for reading our story and for standing by us in whatever way you can.
