The countdown begins!!!
On December 20th, we are going to Olsztyn to deliver sixteen hand-knitted blankets full of Love! Each blanket was created for a specific child from the Emergency Care Facility and the Single Mothers' Home in Olsztyn. All of them were made with the intention of Love, Acceptance and Tender Presence woven into each loop! These are real Love Energy Packages that bring comfort on a bumpy journey.
Below are photos of the blankets - they were created thanks to Anna, Ania, Ewa, Haneczka, Iza, Magda, Maria, Marta, Monika, Rence, Tatiana!!! Wonderful beings supporting this initiative - you can join us too! We will show you how to do it!
We are not stopping there! We are moving forward! More blankets will be created for children from the same facilities. At the end of 2023, 17,000 children were in institutionalized foster care. Our Foundation wants to knit and donate 222 blankets by the end of 2025! We need 310 km of yarn for this purpose!!! This means that we need over PLN 55,000 / EUR 13,000 to be able to fund it!

Description
The Grannies of the World Foundation was established to accompany women 50+ in discovering their role in today's world, and to work together for the benefit of young generations and the Earth. In our opinion, a modern GRANDMA is not only a caregiver, she is a conscious woman, a mentor and a guide who has the power to create a New World. We weave a community of conscious women 50+ locally and globally. We co-create a space for the exchange of experiences, spiritual growth and personal development.
Our first initiative to weave generations #HugTheWorld - is an invitation to knit cuddly blankets with the intention of Love, Support, Acceptance and Tender Presence for children and young people in crisis. The first 36 blankets are being created for children from the Emergency Care Center in Olsztyn. By the end of 2025, we want to knit 222 blankets full of love! The cost of yarn for one, maximum natural blanket is approx. €60, so we need to rise €13 320 for this purpose.
