Happy Park camp
It is a construction project for a glamping complex with modular houses can be an interesting idea, considering that more and more tourists are attracted to experiences in nature, but with a high degree of comfort. I will detail the essential steps and key components of such a project.
The location is near the city of Cluj Napoca located in the northern region of Romania with numerous historical locations and national traditions
1. Definition of the Concept
Glamping (glamour camping) is a form of camping that combines the outdoor experience with the comfort and facilities of a hotel or luxury accommodation unit. Modular houses are the perfect solution because they are quick to assemble, flexible and can be customized according to the specific needs of the project.
2. Project objectives
- Creation of a glamping complex with 8-12 accommodation units, each with modern facilities, in the middle of nature.
- Providing a comfortable and sustainable retreat for tourists, ideal for weekend getaways or holidays.
- Combining ecological design with modern technologies for a minimal impact on the environment.
3. Location and Layout of the Land
The choice of location is crucial. These are some considerations:
- Location: Ideal would be a land located close to a natural park, next to a lake, mountain or forest. Access to transportation should be easy, but at the same time preserve privacy and tranquility.
- The land: The choice of a flat or slightly inclined land, which allows the installation of the houses and ensures water drainage.
- Accessibility: The access road must be good enough to allow the transport of the modular houses and the necessary equipment.
4. Design of Modular Houses
Modular houses are a central element of this project. Here are some design options:
- Dimensions: Each unit can be between 10 and 20 square meters, depending on the number of people for whom it is intended.
- Materials: The houses can be built from wood, metal, glass or ecological materials, with adequate thermal and sound insulation.
- Types of boxes:
- Cottages for 1 person with a single bed
- Cottages for 2 people with a double bed
The design of the boxes will include:
- Quality fittings and finishes (to ensure comfort and durability).
- Solar panels or renewable energy systems for electricity supply.
- Water recycling systems or the use of ecological techniques for water and waste management.
- Air conditioning and heating depending on the local climate.
5. Services and Facilities
A successful glamping complex offers not only accommodation, but also a number of facilities to improve the tourist experience:
- Spa and wellness: Sauna, jacuzzi, outdoor pool.
- Restaurant or cafe: Prepared from local ingredients, served outdoors or in a common space.
- Recreational activities: Hiking, cycling, horse riding, fishing or boating.
- Common spaces: A place for socializing, campfire, games or creative workshops.
- Wi-Fi and technology: Internet access and modern technologies for the comfort of tourists.
6. Sustainability and Energy Efficiency
- Ecological materials: Wood from sustainable sources, ecological insulation, and non-toxic finishes will be used.
- Recycling systems: Installation of selective waste collection stations and a composting system.
- Solar panels: To ensure low electricity consumption, the use of solar panels for water heating and lighting.
- Rainwater collection systems: To reduce drinking water consumption in daily activities.
7. Land Planning - Placement of Cottages: Cottages will be strategically placed to maximize privacy and views of the natural landscape. Each unit will have a small terrace or patio area with outdoor furniture. - Green areas and vegetation: Planting of local plant species to preserve a natural environment and reduce the need for maintenance. - Roads and alleys: Access roads between small houses will be paved or from the natural materials available on the land (gravel or wood).
8. Management and Operation of the Complex
- Reception and automated check-in: A small reception area or an online system for registering visitors.
- Maintenance schedule: Employment of local staff for cleaning, maintenance of common areas and equipment.
- Marketing strategies: Promotion of the complex through online tourism platforms, travel agencies, and social media campaigns.
9. Estimated Costs and Lead Times
- Construction costs: These can vary significantly depending on the location, design, materials chosen and dimensions, but a glamping project with modular houses can reach between 10,000 and 50,000 euros.
- Execution times: Normally, the construction of such a complex can take between 6 and 12 months, depending on the complex
