Description
The wreath, shaped like an ice hockey stick, has been ordered. As a wooden structure needs to be made to hold the flowers, and we would like to give everyone the opportunity to take part in the wreath-laying ceremony, we have agreed on 7 February at 6.30 pm.
We will meet at 6.30 pm at the Arena and lay the wreath with a minute’s silence.
Together with Karin Schmey, our fan liaison officer, we have also decided that any money left over will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Berlin-Buch, which supports children with cancer and their families. We are sure that Tobi would have liked this idea and that it would bring a smile to his face, wherever he is now, watching over us.
At the end of next week, we will announce the total amount raised and would like to thank you all in advance for your kindness. We will also post photos online after the wreath-laying ceremony and will publish photos of the handover of the donation to the Ronald McDonald House.
Thank you very much for your kind support,
In our grief we are united: once a polar bear, always a polar bear
