In July 2023, amidst the chaos of the devastating Mandra fires in Greece, a stray dog named Iris was found desperately running to escape the flames. A compassionate man rescued her and brought her to the shelter, where we had the privilege of adopting her. At an estimated age of 10-12 years, Iris has already endured so much, and now she faces a significant health challenge: a cherry eye that has worsened and requires urgent surgery. This painful condition can lead to further complications if left untreated, making it imperative that we act quickly for her well-being.
