Description
Due to air and electromagnetic pollution, wild birds – particularly swallows, Eurasian swifts and various resident species – are often affected. Over time, these incidents have gone from being sporadic to constant, taking on the characteristics of a veritable massacre. Swifts, for example, spend their entire lives in flight, and once they fall, they are unable to take flight again on their own but must be physically assisted and, more often than not, rehydrated and fed with crickets, which must be purchased and cost an average of €15 for 300 grams. On average, this is enough for six days for each bird, which can eat up to 200 crickets a day!
If we add to this the care and time taken away from work, the birds awaiting release that must be fed and cared for one by one, and above all the costs that all fall on my shoulders, I will have to decide to abandon this rescue work because time and finances no longer permit it. I am asking for a small financial contribution that will allow me to care for these defenceless animals.
Any amount will be welcome. Naturally, any surplus funds will be used to support the work of others who share my passion
Official organisations are
of funds and can only cover a small part of the area; they do what they can
The rest is done by people like me
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who wishes to contribute
