Hi, I'm Juan Carlos and I'm raising funds for my dear friend, Martin Alvarez, an amazing 20 year old young man living in Chile, he is a person full of life, he is passionate about video games and movies and has always dreamed of living a long life and having children.

Unfortunately Martin is struggling with a serious illness, a throat condition, the muscles of his tongue and soft palate relax temporarily. Today, April 16th, he woke up at 5am very badly, a reminder of the urgency of his situation.

Doctors have said he needs urgent treatment, which consists of an expensive course of specialised medication. Without this treatment, his life is in grave danger and he could die at any moment, even in his sleep. It is heartbreaking to think that someone so young, with so much to live for, could lose everything so soon.

The estimated cost of this treatment is 500 euros, a sum that neither Martin Alvarez nor his family can afford. In Chile, access to this type of treatment is limited and expensive, and time is short.
