Hello everyone,

Just a quick introduction: my name is Sandra and I’m 50 years old.

My husband’s name is John and he is 67 years old.

I’d like to explain our situation: my husband had a severe heart attack last year and was in an induced coma for a week.

They gradually brought him round, and he then had to undergo six months of rehabilitation before he could have surgery.

Fortunately, everything went well.

I am also disabled myself; I have diabetes and a blood disorder which causes me to form clots easily.

I’ve already had three close calls myself.

After much hesitation and fear, I’ve decided to launch this fundraising campaign.

I want to give it a go anyway, even if it’s with a heavy heart.

Dear friends, due to all our medical problems and the associated expensive medication, we have got into financial difficulties.

We can no longer afford the high hospital bills.

That is why I thought there might be kind-hearted people who would be willing to support us a little.

I want to emphasise once again that I am doing this with a heavy heart and that it is not at all our habit to ask for help.

This is truly out of desperation.

I am already very grateful to all those who are willing to help.
