Description

Dear everyone! Unfortunately, I have to share my own story with you. This is how the life of a young mother of three children was turned upside down. I would like to describe what happened to me on 3 April.

Unfortunately, it was a life-changing day for me. I had been feeling very tired for two days, but with two small children and a household to run, this did not seem like a "strange symptom". The problems began when those around me and I started to notice that I was having difficulty remembering words and mixing up letters. On 3 April, I was at work and everything was normal, except that these symptoms were getting worse. By the evening, I was feeling worse, so we decided to go to A&E. Three hours later, we were standing there with the paper in our hands, knowing that nothing would ever be the same again. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. They admitted me immediately, and test after test followed. There is oedema around the tumour, affecting my speech centre, which is why my speech is slurred. I am in complete mental and emotional turmoil. I am 46 years old, I have a family, three daughters, my partner, my life, my job. What will happen to me now, how will I move on? At the hospital in Zalaegerszeg, they tried to drain the fluid from the tumour. The next step was Pécs, more tests, and finally the date was set. In mid-April, during a partially conscious operation, they removed about 95% of the tumour. After the surgery, the long recovery began, but we received the next blow when the histological results arrived. The tumour is aggressive, one of the worst types, glioblastoma, with a very low chance of survival, a maximum of 10-15 months. Radiation and chemotherapy are recommended, which I have already started in Szombathely. We are confident that everything will be fine here, and the next step towards a complete recovery is immunotherapy, which has achieved very good results in many treated patients. Here is an article with more information about immunotherapy. However, this is only available in Germany and involves a significant financial burden. We have asked for help so that Csenge, my eldest daughter, and Abigél and Dalma, my two younger daughters, can have more time with their mother, and we are very grateful to everyone who helps us achieve this goal, even if only a little. We need €85,000 for this, which would also cover part of the travel costs!

We are collecting in euros because we have to pay the clinic in euros for the treatment, and this way, changes in the forint-euro exchange rate will not affect the success of the collection.

If you would like to support my recovery with any amount, you can do so by following these steps: find the red donate button. Then select the amount, choose your payment method, and enter your email address and your name if you wish😊. Next, you can use a slider to set whether you want to support the developers of 4found.com. The default setting is 20%, but you can lower it to 0%. Then, click on the donate button to initiate the payment.
